Marta Maas-Fjetterström 1873-1941
artistically for a talented woman at the time it was not easy to make art a career. Marta Maas-Fjetterström chose artistic expression weaving and with great success. From 1919 until her death, she leads a workshop for carpets in Bastad.
still apply rugs in the studio as the epitome of Swedish rugs (signature MMF) and good prices at auction.
currently running at Liljewalchs in Stockholm an exhibition about the production from their studio.
addition to many historic carpets are also shown works of designs by contemporary artists.
really worth seeing.
